Biography

Lauhaus is an Amsterdam-based DJ and producer, who is active in the Dutch electronic music scene for over ten years now. He is, together with David Labeij, one of the twosome inspirations of ‘POLDER’. Next to these projects he is also part of the six-sided crazy communal laptop collective ‘Amsterdam 661’ and most recently, the label manager of the imprint ‘SOWESO’ with Kabale Und Liebe.

Eversince his youth Lauhaus is very busy producing and not without success. Nowadays his solo act coined him as one of the important and respected players in the influential Amsterdam scene with headturning productions like ‘Downunder’ and ‘Baobab’. His sound is broad: productions made with a blend of ouse and techno; always striving for the clash between the genres to produce an exhilarating sound with an analogue feel.

Besides his personal success, was also the star of ‘POLDER’ rapidly rising. Their first release and debut album ‘Poldermodel’ received immediate acclaim and support resulting in international exposure and gigs worldwide. He knows better than anyone how to translate his dancefloor orienated taste into a musical outburst. Lauhaus’s DJ style and sound is not to go unnoted. An all encompassing journey from deep, housy, tribal grooves to techy climaxes and always in tune with the crowd and the vibe!

He embodies the Amsterdam madness. Never to shy for some fun, Lauhau’s strong collaborations with national and international artists are yielding some musical knacks not to miss!
