Biography

This Portugal-born Dutch national has a cheeky charm about him that is difficult to escape and which works so well in his favour when taking control of the decks in a club. There is constant eye contact, an almost flirtateous vibe going on with the crowd, a sort of positive energy that wins you over almost instantly. You can feel that Nuno is utterly in love with what he does.

This love translates into an almost obsessive curiosity for fresh music. Where most dj’s limit themselves to one style and stick with it, Nuno fuses different genres and creates a unique style of his own, always two steps ahead of the rest. Combine that creative flexibility with with a telepathic ability to read a dancefloor and more often than not you end up with a homerun of a set. With musical partner Patrice Baumel he forms the infamous dj and production duo “360”. Their highly successful monthly residency at Trouw is constantly pushing the envelope of electronic dance music.

On the production side of things Nuno is absolutely on a roll with a number of hit singles on Compost (“Merging”, “The Deep End”, with TJ Kong) or Joris Voorn’s Green Records (360 – “Neon EP”) as well as remixes for labels like Connaisseur and Traum. A killer debut album with TJ Kong is out now on Compost. Boom!
